We do not release new designs all at once but as drops: new characters are added to a series, printed in a limited run, and put on sale. A sold-out model is not always reprinted; some characters are retired to the archive and never made again. That is why collectors follow the drops — waiting on a character you like can be a risk. The newest pieces appear first inside each series, and the collection archive on the home page takes you to the full set of lines.
PLA+ is ideal for shelf display: the colors do not fade, the form holds, and dust wipes off easily. The only things to watch are direct sunlight and high heat, so choose a closed cabinet or a shaded shelf over a windowsill or the top of a radiator. You can also build a working collection by fitting real Clippers into the cases; most of our collectors carry some day to day and keep the rare pieces on the shelf. Holding on to the box and the packing material helps if you ever want to exchange something.
As a rule, no: once a character is retired, its planned production has ended and it comes off the catalog. Occasionally a character in heavy demand comes back in a new drop in a different color or with revised detail — and even then the original version stays archived. That approach protects the standing of the early pieces in a collection. You can confirm which series a model belongs to from the series information on its product page.
The soundest start is two or three characters from the series closest to your taste; series coherence sets the character of a collection early. Because the page is grouped by series, it is easy to see a collection's full cast at once and mark what is missing. If you are after short-run, one-off pieces, the boutique lines on the custom design page may be a better starting point. If you are undecided, the gift finder will point you to the series closest to you.
